Red Mountain Interchange

Economic development depends on having access to a high-quality transportation system. One of the most important considerations for virtually any business looking to locate or expand is the availability of a four-lane highway close to a prospective site.

A new interchange from I-82 directly into the Red Mountain AVA area at Highway 224 is one key to the success of the new tourist and commerce destination.

Specifically, this interchange will provide improved access to the Red Mountain Center, the Red Mountain AVA, the 8,000 acre MacKay-MacDonald Ranch, and the Hanford area by providing a second alternative route to the bypass highway  It will also allow for faster response times for emergency services to areas south of the freeway and for the utility crews that service the Red Mountain area.
